The Barossa Valley was established in the early 1800's by German decendants to Australia. Here they planted the first grape vines in Australia.
Here in South Australia, we produce and export more wine than the rest of Australia' all put together. We are the wine Capital of Australia, and one of the biggest wine producer's in the world. The Barossa Valley is our most famous region.
We have 5 major wine growing regions, the best known is "The Barossa". They start down south at "The Limestone Coast", heading north to "The Mclearen Vale", flanking the city is "The Adelaide Hills" region. Then further north is "The Barossa Valley" and further again is the "Clare Valley"
Here we produce some of the best wines in the world
