Old Adelaide Goal 1841-1988

One of 2 of the oldest buildings (Government House the other),still standing in Adelaide today. Also believed to be the most haunted place in South Australia, this rundown, antiquated facility, still operated until 1988. In the most northerly torrent, was the gallows, this was to become the hanging tower. 45 people were executed at this goal, including one woman, their bodies still lay within the boundry walls. Over 200 lives were lost here in 147 years. Adelaide Goal is now a museum and tourist attraction with night time ghost tours.

Birdwood Mill Motor Museum

About half an hours drive, east into the Adelaide Hills, you will find the town of Birdwood. In the old flour mill, you will unexpectedly find Australia"s largest and finest collection of Vintage and Classic Cars.
